Acer Laptop

Hi,

We were in Currys today (though hate having to buy from them, know them of old) and saw a new laptop the Acer Aspire 6 i5 with the new(?) 16 GB Intel® Optane™ memory which sounds like a very large high speed buffer or cache to be modern .

ACER Aspire 6 15.6" Intel® Core™ i5 Laptop - 1 TB HDD, Black

The price seemed very good at £399 for an i5, but getting back home cannot find any reference to this model other than Currys site ?
Even Acers own uk site does not list it ? and no online reviews of it ? ?

So does anyone know anything about it, old model, custom job just for Currys and more importantly, is it as good as the details suggest ?


We used to use the UK Web Users magazines online forum for PC questions etc , but that has now been closed down, any suggestions of a good UK based alternative for the latest info and tech help ? ( other than here of course )

 

Model numbers are often specific to the retailer that's selling the product Ricky. I found the same with my washing machine - which I didn't buy from Currys!
