    hi chaps
I was given a white lilac shrub complete with 2 or 3 flowers on it, a couple of years ago.
I planted it and have given it much love and attention yet so far it has stoutly refused to flower!
It is planted in a south facing border, in a real suntrap. My soil is chalky and everything else in the border is flourishing.
    Any ideas?

    thanks

    Hi Lynne
You're probably being too nice to it! Leave it alone, don't feed, water or do anything, give it chance to settle in (it should be fine in your chalky soil in sun as it likes neutral to alkaline conditions) It may take a couple of seasons to get its feet under the table, but its not a fussy guest!!!
