Yellow thistles, or maybe a knapweed?

    Seen in a local garden. I thought these might be Centaurea solstitialis, but all the images I see of that have a much greener bracts. I therefore thought maybe a knapweed, or the fruiting heads of carline thistles? I'd like to know what kind of plant this is and in normal circumstances might approach the house or leave a note, but it doesn't feel so appropriate to do so at present, so any ideas here are welcome.     Hi, I think it could be Centaurea macrocephala.
