Hi all. I am Lucy and in Manchester. I am new to gardening and recently a friend found me a greenhouse on Freecycle, it has been put together and I'm eager to start preparing it for use. I am also thinking of turning some of our garden over to veg growing. I will most likely be throwing a lot of beginner questions your way, so be ready for that.

If you wish to have the "y" reinstated, just contact a member of our Admin team and they can sort that out for you (had to have my user name altered once before and it's quite painless )

Oooh, how lucky to have a greenhouse - never had one and unlikely to have one but I'll settle for greenhouse envy

Ask away: our members range from new gardeners to experienced with a few experts lurking around too so you are sure to get a response.

Vegetables: you could use containers, make raised beds or even get yourself down on a waiting list for an allotment. Much depends on your time commitment and how much you wish to harvest.

Grab a cuppa, make yourself comfortable and have a good look around. Looking forward to seeing you around the forums.
