That's a possibility Joolz, thanks. :) This is the only remaining plant in a flower bed of my daughter's, she's dug the rest out. :doh:The other hosta that was there was in full leaf, so unless this sprouts at a different time it's not that.

The plant is in the middle of the bed below. I won't tell you what she did with the rest of the plants.

Thanks Wee Tam, I'm now beginning to wonder why my daughter left that in, I'll have words to find out.

It may be ahead of yours because it lives near Vancouver. :snorky:

Thanks all for your identification, :) I've never had Hosta's as I can't grow them where I currently live which is why I struggled with it.

That was the only plant my daughter left in @Beckie76 so I think she'll probably keep it. I'm to far away to save it, she lives in Canada.:)

I'm sorry @Silver surfer, my three children have no idea about gardening apart from mowing lawns. My daughter wouldn't have had a clue what was in that bed, apart from the tulips possibly. :doh:However, my son is about to have a wake up call. He moves into a house in two weeks with an acre of ground!

Thanks everyone, you were right! This is the plant from post #1, definitely a Hosta and looking very healthy. No slugs and snails around there obviously. :)

                    Hi Sheal,

Sorry, but I can't see it in the photo. The only Hosta I can see is a variegated one.

Sorry @Anthony Rogers, do you mean you can't see it in the picture in post #3?

@Anthony Rogers it's slightly south-west of the Dicentra behind the Grape Hyacinths but you may not be able to see it as it hadn't leafed up when the picture was taken.:)
