    :wow:

@Jungle Jane Thank you so much for updating the thread with such fabulous photos of your garden! It's grown and matured so well. Everything looks so lush, the pathways inviting, all leading to a calm area by your hubby's workshop. It's heavenly. :love30::love30::love30::love30::wub2::wub2::wub2:

I love the bug hotel. How did you make it and with what?

I made the main structure out of gravel boards to create a large box. Then I divided it up into 4 sections and just added bits of wood I had knocking around. The roof was made from some fake slate tiles I took from a skip a year ago. I wish in hindsight I took more at the time for other projects I have in the pipeline.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. There are still a few bits I haven't posted up today as I didn't have time. Hopefully tomorrow I will though.

Our upcoming project is our seating area. We built the pergola last year and this year after the sale of two very expensive carvings I decided to treat myself to a nice chair for both Mr Jane and me to sit in. I've dug out the soil as we want to cover it in membrane and then put some gravel ontop, just to make it easy to maintain. We have a wistria on the trelis at the back which will hopefully cover the pergola in a few years time. But we shall see.

Then it will be the second area which will be a small dining area so we can sit outside and eat.

I did think that but I think it would be yet another thing to store in my tool shed which is already full to the brim.

It would be even easier to maintain if you put slabs down instead of gravel. :blue thumb: As you don't have a large area to do you may be able to pick up some slabs cheaply. Some of the builder's merchants do 'end of lines'. They're not usually real end of lines (no longer manufactured) but just what's left over from some large pallets of them.
