Our Rose Garden out front. It's actually a community area between 4 flats but we plant it and care for it......

This will be the next area to be rejuvenated.

Thank you @wiseowl. :) With a lot of rain this last week or so they aren't looking so good now, sadly it's bruised the flowers.

              Hi all

              Hi Woo

              Rosa Rugosa

              WP_20160719_002.jpg

I remember a couple of weeks ago there was a discussion about Rugosa/ Dog Rose, but unfortunately I can't find it on my phone as GC only allow me to go back 7 days :(

I was wandering if this helped to clear the matter up as this is definitely a Rugosa so could be used in comparison .

If anyone can find the thread and boost it up I'd be happy to re-post this photo if it would help :)

                    My roses this year ...

Rosa Rugosa "Alba" - I love rugosa petals, they always look like paper (and the song "Paper Roses" always springs to mind when I look at them :heehee: )

                    CIMG0014.JPG

I'm calling this next one Rosa Peculium :snorky:

                    Golden Showers at its fullest

                    CIMG0010.JPG

Another unidentified rose but known to me as "Jenny" (this was before it had a good watering)

                    CIMG0023.JPG

And this one I only bought in June and is called "Queen's 90th Celebration Rose" (not to be confused with "Queen's 90th Birthday Rose", which I also have and is yet to flower).
I cannot find a listing for this one  :dunno:

Thank you @wiseowl that's very interesting and your efforts are appreciated

I've still got the label it came with, so I'll take a photo of that, but, as you have discovered yourself, there is no listing for it under that name to be found. Mind you, the blurb on the back of the label was poorly written and not to be trusted either :rolleyespink:

I'll copy out the information you've posted above so I have something else to go on  Thank you :)

Good evening @wiseowl seems I got the name of my white rose just slightly wrong  but, still no listing for it :heehee:

These are the photos I have taken of the labels of the 2 roses to celebrate Her Majesty's 90th

                                The White One

One of the reasons I think your findings are more likely to be correct is all to do with ... size!;)You may recall I mentioned in an earlier post that the blurb on the label was all mixed up? Well, you may be able to make out on the White Rose label that it states its eventual height is: 1m. Yet, on the blurb, it states to "cut back to 1m in the first year after flowering" (or something like that, but the size is correct). Trouble is, if it only grows to 1m in height, how on earth do you cut it back to 1m :heehee:

So, I'm going to stick with "White Queen Elizabeth"
