    Aloha everyone,

    Happy birthday, Ozzy
    upload_2016-10-30_7-46-28.jpeg

I got some things done in the garden yesterday :blue thumb: and did some paperwork but taking it easy. Moorfields tomorrow, hope they don't keep me in :fingers crossed: but probably need some work done. I have a phobia about anything getting near my eyes since I had a pair of, plastic, scissors stuck in my eye at school!!!
    upload_2016-10-30_7-50-39.jpeg

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

Be harvesting my bean seed crop today, Bridgwater and Tongue of fire beans :)

Have a good day everyone :spinning:

Morning all, hope everyone is well.

Misty and damp here this morning, looks like it's brightening up though.

Hope everything goes well with your eye appointment tomorrow Shiney.

Enjoy your Sunday everybody, make sure you get your gardening jobs done in good time, it'll get dark early today. :th scifD36:

          Afternoon all :spinning:

Late on parade, been down to the local recycling centre, had a car full of stuff.
Been to Waitrose, got my shopping done, then went to our local pet shop for a free
          400gm bag of biscuits.:dbgrtmb:
Now sat with a hot cappuccino waiting for someone to come and pick up some
bits I sold on Face Book.

It's all go. I am also trying to put into size order some baby clothes that I
sell at Boot sales, putting them away until the Spring.

I am hoping for a quiet afternoon, so that I can watch a film or something good,
though I will probably fall asleep. :snooze:

Well, have a good rest of the day, enjoy the rest of the early evening.

Just got back from garden, the bleeping dog from next door has got in again, this
time half way up the fence.:nonofinger:
Showed landlord the culprit, who it appears, they just went out shopping
and left the 2 dogs in the garden to get up to mischief. I could see the dog peeking
              through the slats and crying.
So now temporarily 2 extra panels has been put in front. I expect the
land lord will be going over to have a few words. :psnp:

Now I have a kitchen floor covered in black muddy paw prints.

Right I'm off for my lunch, some much for a quiet afternoon.

                            Aloha everyone,

Yesterday's trip to London didn't go too badly :blue thumb:. Train journey was comfortable and the taxi to the hospital was only £6.40 (wasn't going to mess around trying to find the right bus and using our bus passes).

A&E at Moorfields were very nice, efficient and fast - although they couldn't find my old records from when I was a regular visitors there (in the early 1950's :snork:). In Triage two minutes after arriving, through to the next department and only a five minute wait for the next tests, through to another department and only a ten minute wait for some more tests and drops in my eyes. Then a fifteen minute wait for the drops to take effect and then called in to see the specialist.

He tried to, politely, tell me off for going to them when I could have gone to my local hospital and asked me what made me decide it was an emergency. This was easily answered as I told him that the optician has given me some dire warnings and I wanted more information. Moorfields has a specialist advice line (our hospital doesn't) and I called them. They were the ones that told me to go to their A&E department. He rolled his eyes :rolleyespink: and said that they are always telling people that! He was friendlier after that.

He said that I hadn't had an accident and it wasn't an emergency so I should have gone to my GP and got a referral to the local hospital. I replied by saying that I needed to know more about the do's and don'ts because I hadn't been told enough and that was why I phoned the advice line. Also, as I'm going on holiday soon I needed to know whether I could go. I also said that by the time I got a doctor's appointment and a hospital appointment it would be months as our local hospital has been put into 'special measures'.

All this chat went on whilst he was examining me. He reassured me that the eye specialists at the local hospital are all superb (he knows them personally) and I said that they may be but the administration is atrocious.

End result:- they won't do anything to my eye unless it suddenly starts getting worse and gave me a list of symptoms to look out for. It's only a one in five hundred chance that it will get worse and the condition is a sign of age!!!!! :old: He also told me that I could continue to do the things that I normally do but not to do anything too strenuous, especially whilst bending. No running, jogging or bungee jumping - so that's ruined my holiday! :snorky:

By the time I was finished there we had only been there 65 minutes. :dbgrtmb: We then walked in the beautiful sunshine back to Liverpool Street Station. So many of the landmarks had changed over the last 60+ years since I was there regularly. I also had trouble finding my old school because of the change of all the buildings near it. It was no use looking for the gas lights down the road :heehee: (yes, we really did have gas lights in those days) or the old Lyons Corner House on the corner of the road (now a skyscraper office block).

Got back home and did some mowing. :dbgrtmb:

Keep well and have a great day

                            Aloha!

Morning all, hope everyone is well.

My day off today and it looks like it's going to be a lovely crisp, sunny one here. :)

I've managed to catch a cold from somewhere :sick0026: not making a fuss though, it's only a cold and I'll survive I'm sure.

Got a few things planned for today. Going to get a haircut first thing (shouldn't take long :heehee:), a bit of housework to do and then out in the garden to dig up some bluebell bulbs for my daughter, as she wants some for her new garden.

                              Have a good day everyone.
