                        Busy day today. :phew: I've got to take Mrs Shiney to town to have her eyes tested. As it's an NHS test I won't hold my breath about her being seen on time. :rolleyespink: I'm having to take her as they shall be putting drops in her eyes so she won't be able to drive for a few hours afterwards.

                        This afternoon I have a meeting with someone from the Office of National Statistics. They seem to think that I actually help them as I'm a 'good sample of the public' :lunapic 130165696578242 5:. It's a three monthly meeting. I'm always happy to do my public duty :pathd: :heehee:

                              They said it will take about four weeks to get the results to her GP :doh:. It's only one doctor's surgery to another and I wonder whether they've ever heard of email :rolleyespink:. We still have our regular optician check-up where they do the same test (and photos of the eye) and they send us the photos by email the next day. :sad:

                              My meeting with the ONS went OK and their officer ended up asking me for advice on a private business venture he's working on! :)

                              If it doesn't feel too cold this morning I may get just a little bit of gardening done. Got a meeting all afternoon at the town hall and then have to be ready to meet and greet people for the Annual Dinner and Dance at 7 p.m. :phew:

                                Good afternoon fellow WW'ers

                                The year began well with some very positive news but that seems to have finished. Needed to have the water pump renewed on my car last week and then, today, it won't start at all :dunno: Mr RAC is busy so a two hour wait until s/he gets here. It is Sod's Law that the time you *need* something to be reliable, it isn't :heehee: Still :fingers crossed: it will be ready for the weekend.

                                The garden seems to be permanently frosted over since last weeks snow. Unfortunately Ozzy doesn't understand that he is not supposed to walk on the grass when it is frosty; worse, he likes to take a nap in a certain spot :rolleyes: That'll be me with a bald spot on the lawn come Spring then :snorky:
