          For @Linz - The Cranberries finest .....................

You've already beaten me to Radioheads finest but this runs it a close second.............

          The truly Smashing Pumpkins...........

One of my favourites from the godlike being that was Roy Orbison..............

Yes!! Amazing choices :dbgrtmb: my second fav from The Smashing Pumpkins. Although Radiohead won't play so I'm guessing it's..~

            or

or if not, its got to be this

I thank my mother for blessing my ears with Roy Orbison. Absolutely beautiful. I do like this one a bit too much..

Mostly been listening to Simon and Garfunkel and Fleetwood Mac the last 2 weeks (the only 2 cds in my car)

It was Fake Plastic Trees! This is another firm favourite............

Yup, he's right up there with the other Man In Black............

One of my favourites from prehistoric times ( :heehee: ) is Ruth Copeland. Born and raised in County Durham she moved out to the US in the sixties and became quite influential in the early funk scene thanks to her work with George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic. Eventually she became disillusioned with the music business and disappeared which was a shame as she should have been huge...........

Anyway, enough music discussion. Todays listening has been Bowies final album Blackstar (played very loudly). An absolute masterpiece!

                Springsteen this week!
My favourite album from "The Boss" is Nebraska and this is the standout track from that album...........

It is hard to say what his finest moment is but the following are right up there............

Inspired by the novel The Grapes of Wrath................

Tom Morrelo from Rage Against The Machine accompanied Springsteen in that video and here is their take on it...............

Something that I think is still very appropriate today.

Written by Bob Dylan 53 years ago :hate-shocked: and there's plenty more that could be added to it to bring it up to date.

Religion and War seem inseparable. (Politics and greed play a big part as well :dunno:)

                  Beautifully sung by Joan Baez.

I love the Travelling Wilburys - and the best thing is that you can hear the influence of each and every one of the artists in each track. WAY before their time.
