This thread has been dormant for a long time so I though I'd wake it up.
If anyone wants to see all the birds and other pics I took in Kenya August 2012 they are here

Thanks Sheal, I am still amazed at the number of birds I saw there particularly as it wasn't a 'birding' safari.

I was surprised by the amount of different Kingfishers, in a land that is considered quite dry.

There were more which I didn't see, the tiny Malachite and Woodland, the Grey Headed was in woodland quite away from water and obviously doesn't eat fish.
6 different Starlings, Sunbirds, Weavers, Plovers and 4 Eagles among the 130 birds seen!!

          Very nice photos.
I have just come back from my annual trip to South Africa including a week in the Kruger Park.

Took our daughter to Heathrow on Tuesday to a catch flight to Nairobi, then on to Kilimanjaro, then Serengeti and all sorts of other places as part of a 2 month uni field trip.

Just hope she gets some decent pics using the camera I bought her, as she'll be working with the local rangers she should be getting closer to the wildlife than tourists on safari.
