Hello. Recently bought a new house and own a garden for the first time. The garden was a complete mess and I've had to pretty much start from scratch with it. So far I have mainly been planting fruit and veg. Need to get working on a lawn and hedging which I want to use bamboo for. As I'm new to gardening I'll likely be looking for a lot of advice.

    Cheers
    Mike

Welcome, ask away:) There are some really knowledgeable gardeners on GC and then there is the likes of me who is a bit of a jack of all trades and master of none. What I might be able to help with is choice of plants from a suitability for our climate point of view as I live in Fife and used to live in Edinburgh.

Welcome aboard Mike, from a fellow Scot :sign0016: - I am exiled down south (or darn sarf as they say here), but my lovely mum still lives in Musselburgh area.
