Partner was gifted this plant for her Birthday in the summer

It looked nice for a good while, but is clearly now dieing off for the winter.

Can someone please tell me what it is (approximately) so that I can care for what appear to be seed pods and the plant itself into next year's season.

There's no tag in the soil or label on the pot.

    Thank You

Thank you Beehappy, don't they just, the seeds. The colour of it was a deep red, burgundy, almost purple, more or less the colour of the seed pods on the windowcill.

Strangely enough, my partner who owns the plant is known as Bee !
