Sowed some Demon Red and Tepin chilli seeds.

Pricked out some Sunflowers and Marigolds.

    Started making another heated propagator.

Cleaned the greenhouse on Sunday, so tonight I have put the staging up and started sowing seeds. Sown French marigolds, Dalia Bishops Children, Sunflowers, Cosmos and Runner Beans. Potted on some Aquilegia I sowed in modules last year and potted on some Achillea and Echinacea that were over wintered in small pots just to give them a bit of a boost before planting out.

@Verdun how was your new woofers first walk?

Now I have a tidy shed and greenhouse I'm finally going to pot on and prick out lol. First I've got to make myself a huge mug of tea to take with me :)

Been watering in the greenhouse and checking things over. Lost 3 or 4 dahlias, now got an excuse to try a couple of new ones, the others are starting into growth. Also lost an Arisaema that I was overwintering in a pot got too wet.

Sorry to read that ... any ideas why?
I have some on a windowsill in my house (North facing) and they are flourishing right now .. would hate to lose them ... even sprinkled some cinnamon grounds on them this evening (heard it has a beneficial effect on any mould which may occur?_

Spent a hour on my stump late on this afternoon had to get my chopper out :yikes: just a big root on the other side to chop out, ive got a nice pile of topsoil and found some nice stones amongst the rubble that will be used somewhere in the garden :).

Not really, possibly they were still wet when I put them away.

Planning tomorrow's purchases as we begin to build the new flower beds. When bought at the amount we'll need, the local garden centre's own brand MPC works out £4 and change less than Westland MPC With John Innes. Is the Westland one worth the extra money?

I'm off work tomorrow so Plan A is to empty the Green House of all plants and tools. That means trying to find places for about 80 plants in warm sheltered places around the garden. That done I will brush out the Green House, fill the pressure spray with a solution of Jeyes Fluid, and spray the inside and outside of the Green House. I'll leave the Green House then until the following day and hose it down and clean the panes of any residue from the Jeyes Fluid. While that is drying out I'll start transplanting some of the seedlings I've got into pots and put those when I can into the Green House. I've got two large deep plastic troughs and 4 shallow grow bags trays that I can put in 20 or 30 pots in each and just fill them with water saving me having to water every pot individually..........that's Plan A.:dunno::heehee:
