    Hi all

Wonder if you can help identify this plant , it grew out of a pot another plant was in so I replanted it , it was virtually a dead little stick but I thought I’d give it a chance , it seems to die off in winter but then bursts back into life in spring but I have no idea what it is !!!!!

    Thanks in advance

Needs to be a bit older than that to flower, but yes a Goat Willow.

I have 1 not in a pot and it's about 20ft plus tall:yikes:. It appeared 1 year and has just done it's own thing for a few years now. Seemed a shame to dig it up so it grows happily amongst my vegetables. I's quite pretty when the catkins are out and doesn't cast much of a shadow to annoy the plants close by.

My next door neighbour has one, self sown years ago, and it overhangs my greenhouse, must be 25ft tall.
Great if you don't have neighbours.

        Wow , 20 ft !
It’s quite nice plant and I like the idea it was a accident . Do you think I should replant it in the garden and take it out the pot ?
