                Afternoon all from a hospital bed in an Acute Medical Unit - this may well be a very brief viait as I am still quite weak and tire very easily.

                Thank you for all the well wishes, they are truly appreciated, and of course thank you to all of you who have sent cards.

                In brief. on top of some prior health issues, I caught the flu in Feb which reaulted in severe respatory failure to the point where I was put into a coma and have had machines doing all the breathing and kidney stuff for me. Essentially, I was as near to dead as you could get. I have only just startes to be able to have some solid food this week, and even then not much.

                It will be some weeks/months yet before i am anything like normal (need to re=learn walking for a start), but rest assured I haven't forgotten about you all.

                Please don't be offended if you have messaged of emailed and had no response - I currently have no email access and even typing this has taken me over half an hour - I will be in touch as soon as I resonably can
