Hi Verdun , it's not a named variety. I grew it from seed. They were just " Polemonium Caeruleum - mixed ".

These were the four bare root roses we bought from T & M in November. A rather sad looking bunch. According to T & M the varieties, are "Pink, White, Yellow and Red." They weren't expensive, the pots I bought for them cost twice as much as the roses.

              P1000873.JPG

Anyway, they're doing very well on the patio.

These acers don't get better than this. During the hot weather, I give them a "mist" spray in the middle of the afternoon. It prevents any scorching.

These two will get a bit of a trim at the end of the year.

              P1010666.JPG

Old faithful we've had now 32 years. It got a trim last year to get a bit of light below it as when it rained the branches touched the lawn and the frog pond.

              P1010667.JPG

These are our dahlias. I used to have them in the troughs either side of the tea-house steps. But they're happier here for the last two years. I removed the lowest branches of the wisteria either side to stop them being crowded. That bed is full of bluebells each spring.

              P1010663.JPG

I grow that peony up through a square of weldmesh which I place on the ground each Spring. As it grows up through it, I pull it up and support it on canes. It stops it falling over.

@Doghouse Riley loving your acers, and everything else too but acers are my fave.

Do you trim the new growth during the summer or just at year end?
