I planted 65 wallflower seeds (Wilco's own) about 3 weeks ago. 1 germinated last week. That's all :-( Is it worth trying again from another brand, or too late for this year?

No not to late , they should only take a few days to germinate.

Was it an old packet of seed? They normally germinate easily. They don't need too much heat to germinate though, best kept out of sunlight at this time of year.

I brought some from Wilko about 3 weeks ago (there own brand) Persian Carpet Mix
for £1.99 and they germinated in less then a week, just sow the seeds
and then very very lightly cover with compost / soil then water in with
a fine rose, you don't want to wash the seeds away :)

Thank you. I've just tried again, with Unwins bedder Mix...the only choice left but it says they're sweetly scented.
