Perennial sweet pea - latifolius

    I have been given one of these and, lacking flower borders as such, have potted it up, with supporting twine against a fence.

    It's looking ok, but some of the leaves are turning slightly purple, almost like a purple sage colour.

    Is this normal? If not, what to do?

    @Sarah Eley purpling of leaves is usually down to a potassium or phosphorous deficiency.. Give them a feed of tomato food or miraclegrow whatever you use and it will hopefully take care of the leaf purpling.. They like quite a large pot and are quite hungry and thirsty until established in my experience..
