Agapanthus Headbourne hybrid from seed 7 years ago, flowered in it's second year!! and has about 20 small blooms every year, being deciduous it virtually disappears in the winter.

Heleniums :wub2: I like Moerhium Beauty the most, I have that with agastache Black adder but I can barely see it, H Mbeauty swapped the poor thing going to move them when the time is right.

        Which Agastache is that @Mark56

Your agapanthus are a lovely colour of blue @strongylodon

It is a beautiful plant, I’m not usually a fan of reds but it’s striking.

It is Agastache Blue Fortune, slightly paler flowers and shorter growth, nice and compact. I think the sun has bleached the colour even more this year :)

I must have a dozen different varieties of helenium here...Fata Morgana now opening a few flowers is a beauty....will post a picture in a few days. Blues look good with them but I find reds of all shades associate well with them too:)

I've always dead-headed them - I'll have to allow some seed pods to mature next year. Did they come true?

IMG_4978.JPG Actea Brunette, rudbeckia Goldsturn and emerging lobelia Hadspen Purple. In foreground another persicaria, this time it's Blackfield; the flowers are a fascinating red with black "gems" studded throughout.

Does anyone grow Actea? are they difficult woodland plants?
