Crimson crush you say @JWK , are we not in danger of having far too many varieties on offer, some do seem pretty pathetic.
That looks like one of those odd balls that comes up with one beefsteak type per truss, then the rest are normal.

I have six crimson crush plants. Four plants are as expected produced mainly large round fruit, however two plants produced tom's of varying sizes and shapes the same as JWK's. Three plants are ones I grew from seed and the other three are bought in grafted plants, One plant from each group is a rouge if you like, Of these two weird ones one is in a quad grow and one is in a pot sunk into the border sixteen feet apart. I thought I had done something wrong however after seeing john's toms I do not think these crimson crush are stable. I will not be growing these again.
The flavour not great from any of the six plants very poor compared to other varieties grown.
Not a patch on Shirley which I only grow as basket filler/griller and consider to be just good nothing exceptional and way behind Juanne flame, Tigrella and Steak sandwich for flavour.
All the crimson crush regardless of size and shape suffered from greenback and not one of the other eleven different varieties grown suffered.
please see attached pic of Crimson crush showing differing sizes and greenback.
Will not be growing these again, Flavour test from family and friends all say same crimson crush only good enough for cooking. Regards Sandy

First year growing tomatoes, and my five Moneymaker plants are fruiting well, although still green. Have had the first two fruits from my five Cherry Baby plants, and they were really sweet and full of flavour. This growing malarkey is quite good fun....:hapydancsmil:

Can I ask you all if you have to remove every single leave from your tomato plants now and just leave the fruit on? I've been watching a youtube video and she removed all her leaves so the sun can get to the fruit. Is this right as I'd hate to cut all the leaves off if your not meant to.

Hi Jane, No, don't strip the plants of all their leaves.:nonofinger::snorky: If you have trusses of toms being covered by some leaves then you can take those off to left the Sun get to them.:coffee::snorky:
