    Hi all

I moved into a new house last year. The garden is gorgeous with many flowers, plants and bushes

Unfortunately I am completely uselesss lol

The front garden had no driveway and parking being a nightmare on the street meant we had to put in a driveway. The whole spring and summer was spent on doing this but now I'm ready to tackle the rest.

Going to need a lot of advice on replanting and putting in new grows.

I also want to build a raised area to start growing easy foods. This will be started in spring 2019 tho so no rush with advice on that lol

My front garden faces East and back to the west

I have given away some of the plants in this picture but still loads there

    IMG_6393.PNG IMG_6392.PNG IMG_6391.PNG So anyway here's my first question

I want to put in a plant that would spill over the edge and grow or trail down the gap
    (See pics)

The planting area is only about 20" long and 2" wide, it's only about 4" deep at start going to about 10" deep

I've ordered some creeping Jenny but unsure if this will work? Would like a blaze of colour in the summer but really it's just to soften the look of it

In terms of perennials I quite like the ground cover Campanula - a lovely blue/purple colour - flowers for quite a long time. I've also recently planted a Sedum Kamtschaticum - which is a gorgeous yellow colour,

Annuals - I'm a great fan of Lobelia Crystal Palace and Lobelia Sapphire Pendula - cheap as chips from Wilkinsons. If you go for annuals - you can change the colour scheme each year. :blue thumb:

Planted pots either side of the steps would look great as well.

    Thanks Clanless

I can't put anything either side of stairs as one side is the drive wayand the other is my neighbours garden lol

Not sure I have a wilkinson's near me but I'll have a look at the ones you've mentioned on Saturday, going to look at some garden centres, b&q etc
