    Hi everyone

I have a Rosa Mundii - a Gallica Rose I believe. Is it time to prune now? and if so a little advice on how to prune would be helpful.

    Thankyou.

Sorry, I also wanted to ask about manure. I have just one bag which has been sat behind my shed for a couple of months which I hope to put around the roses. Is it time to do that or should I wait till Spring?

    Thanks

I would just cut back any stems that may rock about in the wind now, leaving any other pruning that may be required for the dormant period - I tend to do mine in Jan or Feb. There's good general advice on that here: Rose pruning: shrub roses/RHS Gardening

Keep the bag of manure for the spring - and then when you see the roses starting into growth sprinkle some rose fertiliser around the stems, with some manure on top of that as a mulch.

Thanks @Clare G So basically a quick tidy up the prune properly Jan/Feb. I might leave it until the rain stops at least. :)
