:) Every year at this time I am always in awe of clumps of Winter Aconite (Eranthus).
A little ray of sunshine :)

Aren`t they brave little soldiers! I love that kind of attitude-"it`s cold but scr3w it! I`m here and I`m loud and I`m proud".

    Little belters.

Beautiful, roders! Didn't you share them with us last year, too?

I didn't have luck when I tried to grow them years ago, I think I should have another go as they are so cheery looking, like little suns.

Lovely photos - and I share your love of winter aconite. Mine are spreading quite nicely - and seem, like snowdrops to shrug off the ++++ snow we have had. The first yellar flowers of the year - and such pretty globes, with their ruff of green.

I planted 200 of these this past fall. Been wanting to, but just did not get there. They are in the front slop area of the property. Have not come up yet. Looking forward to them, and spreading.
Have some purple strip crocus on the other slope that have spread nicely over this past 16 years of being there. The contrast will be nice.
