@longk Do you find lumaconi any different to conchiglioni for holding the sauce?

Yesterday was a mix of food as we had one guest who is vegan, gluten free and lacto-intolerant.

For non-carnivores there was a simple lentil and nut roast with courgettes and peppers cooked into to it,
Roasted butternut squash done with freshly ground cumin and sumach,
Puy lentils simmered in stock with a garlic clove and a bay leaf,
Roasted cauli steaks with crispy fried onion strips
Jacket potato with home made houmous.

I had medium rare rib eye steak pan fried in butter and chopped chillies.

In a word, no! But waht does happen is that the olives, capers, diced chorizo or broken bits of prawn fall in when stirred so it's a bit like ravioli without the faffing about :heehee:
Gods honest truth is that it is only there because it was on offer in our local Waitrose. That said, it may now join tagliatelli, linguini and fusilli as a store cupboard staple.

Sounds good but I don't eat olives, capers, chorizo or prawns. The rest of it sounds good! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Last night was a simple chicken casserole, with chicken thighs, onion, garlic, herbs, tomato, celery, turnip, French beans, sweet peppers, chilli, carrots, courgettes, mushrooms and whatever was edible within arm's reach. Made enough for two of us for three days. Approx. £7.50. :blue thumb:
