    Hi All,

Have got some Blueberries, now just starting their third year and in need of potting on from the existing 12" ones.

At the moment it seems like the 40ltr flexi type of tubs are the most cost effective container which also have a quiet wide base and less prone to blowing over, unlike the cheaper ornamental plastic tubs which often have narrow bases.

Thought about using the fabric root bags but not sure if they would hold things together that well.

Any ideas of anything better without costing a fortune as have 6 plants to do.

I can think of tree pots with the handles on the side. what about a potato sack for growing potato in.
B&m sell these 50cm wide £7 any use? you could prune the rots and repot them in you wanted to.

        Hi,

Yes, they are nice tubs but at £42 for the 6 bushes a bit expensive, even the standard 40lts flexi tubs will cost £30

Have been looking at these 10 gallon / 45 ltr grow bags, just no idea / not sure how they will hold up over time ?
Once the bushes are in the bags they will not be moved again.

Might just order one bag and see what how it holds up when filled.

            Hi @marin-f,

Yes thanks, had thought about such diy planters or even a complete raised bed for them, but might be a lot more cost and time in getting them fully waterproofed etc.

Been looking in the usual stores for some cheap large pots but no sign of the new years gardening stuff yet.

Re your other thread about filling your pots, if you ever get up to J37 on the M1 just before the Woolley Edge services, just a mile down the road there is a good old fashioned garden center /nursery which has loads of young plants ( flowers, fruit and veg) for pots and baskets in the spring, not the biggest place but worth a look if passing.
