      Isn't 20p a tuber a bit much?
I think I can get a bag for about £3.50.

I was very nearly caught out last year at a local nursery, I said I didn't really need the amount in the bag, it then turned out I would be paying more, if I bought enough for what I wanted, individually.
So I put them back and bought a bag.;)

It's about the average price. Depending on the supplier a kg of seed potatoes can cost from £2.50 - £4. You get about 17 to a kg. If you buy 2 or 3kg the price drops quite a bit.

17p Each at previous Whitchurch, Hampshire potato days, and 24p each at Bridport potato day last year.

Seems about the going rate to me for the chance to try new varieties without having to buy a couple of kilos of each.
