.......but just interested in knowing if others have given in yet!!!!;)

So.....if you have then what seeds have you already sown??

I might calm my urge by sowing some Rainbow Coleaus:blue thumb:

No flower seed sown yet Upsy but near to it now. It will be tithonia soon.
This mild winter.....and warm sunshine now....is kidding me into thinking it is nearer spring than I know it to be.
Sensibly though a slightly later sowing generally produces better plants :)

I haven't started in anger yet but I have sown a few seeds :

      In the house -
Echeveria - 7 varieties sown late December, 4 now germinated
Cacti - 16 varieties sown mid December, 11 now germinated

      In the tunnel -
Bromaria Hirtella (on heated bed) - sown mid December, germinated
Silk Vine - sown Mid December (off heat), expect germination in spring

Having these growing has scratched the itch. I wont sow any more until end Jan / early Feb when I will start with some of the veg and then move on to annuals and perennials in March

The only seeds I’ve sown (back in the autumn) are cowslips. They need a cold spell before germination will occur. Everything else I want to grow I have learned to sow later when spring is imminent.

I've sown radishes, leeks, onions, & cacti. Got some peas soaking, will bring on a few early plants under cover :)

Might sow some onion seed early Feb, then nothing till March.
Wasted too many seeds, had too many large plants that I cant put outside, too early, years ago, to even think about sowing seed yet.
Without lighting it will grow leggy, and later sowings often catch up and overtake the early ones.

Oh yes ! I forgot that I sowed some last autumn too!!.
Aquilegia Mckena Giants and Nora Barlow, Calendula and Larkspur. I just sowed them into recycled milk containers and left them to do their own thing.:)

I'm taking a slightly different approach this year - planting up late Feb/March - individual 7cm square pots - which will fit neatly into a gravel tray. The idea being that larger pots mean that I can leave the plants undisturbed for longer - and I won't destroy the pots when removing the plants.

Have previously used seed cell trays - which were OK - but forced me to move the plants on before I was happy to do so.:dbgrtmb:
