Helping my friend Keith to make his greetings cards. He printed these out and I'm going to cut them out and put the large pictures on the front of the card with double sided tape and Decuparch the rest.

There's a small wood by us which was planted about 30years ago with Poplars when these house were built.
It's a nice place to walk the boys in the hot summer last year. But now they have been cut down because they say that their life has come to an end. There are other trees there but it looks rather bare at the moment. They will plant more trees next year.

Did three hours biking followed by an hour run on the treadmill yesterday morning. What disappointed me, when I made it to the other side of the Queen Elizabeth highway, was the sight I saw looking back at the hill I live on. My home with a haze of smog covering it.

More pottery with air dry clay. I'm getting addicted, clay just feels and smells so good :)

I made an upgrade of "The Goblet", this one is quite big and chunky and the drainage hole is so big that I'll try to trickle Modpodge into it. For some reason, also a pigeon appeared. As a bird lover I must admit I dislike pigeons, especially the asthmatic flying bags of fat aka Wood Pigeons, so no idea what happened there. :noidea:It's also three times the size of my goose so will not become part of bird themed display. But hey, "Displays" are just dust magnets and what do people have garages for? The Teenager made miniature figurines and an old ruin to fit inside a coffee jar. What a patience she has... :) The one holding the Sacred Book is brilliant.

Took the day off to have a day's outing with The Teenager. We went to Ikea which for me is a shrine of childhood with all the plagiarised great designs I grew up with... snifff... I usually sit in one of their show apartments and page through a Swedish book and sigh, until The Teenager finally drags me to the place where smelly candles and decorative cushions are sold.

We did the essential lunching with gravad lax and mandeltorta, bought a glass cake stand for The Teenager who is an avid baker, some ingeniously practical solutions (as you do), Venus Flytrap plant and the exact Opuntia I have been lusting after for years. Some food as well.

The best bit is always the journey, we don't drive so juggle the best option to get there and back, it takes over an hour. We did have our revision cards and Agatha Christie novel prepared, but ended up just talking about things, or being quiet together. :)

Delivered a custom slipcover today and the client was shocked because it fit so well, it looked like a reupholstery job :)

I have to do my sweaty betty in top gear because I have two more slips and a full set of outdoor cushions to recover by Easter. And then I will relax and play :)

She sept on the sofa and I slept for a few hours next to her.
