Solved Please help me identify and save this lovely bush!

    Please help me identify this beautiful bush! It is pictured here in mid-July (on a rare hazy day when I could get out to do some clipping without being scorched!)

    It suffered when we had that double-dose of heavy snow in early 2018 which we never usually have, the weight of it bent it right over as you can see.

    Is it savable? Or should I just remove it? Advice please and thanks!

    It looks like a very leggy Hypericum, hypericums tolerate hard pruning ( can be cut back to the ground ) and now is the time to do it if you don't like it how it is now. Look like its already growing from the base

      Yes, agree with Perki :)
      I hard prune mine every year ......keeps it bushy, floriferous and helps keep hypericum rust as bay :)

        Totally agree! Just chop off all of the old stems at about 6 inches so they don't show.

        Yep, definitely Hypericum aka St Johns Worth :thumbsup: i pruned mine on monday, down to about 1ft from the ground. They're very vigorous & mine always shoots up to almost 5ft by the time its ready to flower in the summer :dbgrtmb:
