          Back to moans.

On my way to golf on Friday morning, where a main road meets a crossroads at a mini-roundabout, there was a fairly new pick-up, facing the wrong way with some slight damage to the front end, with two wheels up on the kerb at the apex of the corner. To the extent that any mother with a push chair would have to walk out into the road if she wanted to pass the car and be walking around the roundabout, as there wasn't room between the vehicleand the fence of the house on the corner.

It was still there when I came home.

It was still there when I went and came home from shopping this morning.

So I decided to call the police.

I went on line to find a number.

It would be far simpler to have found one for Manchester or Trafford USA.
I eventually found the right site but it took several clicks to find a number, having to dodge notification of cookies.
Eventually I found the number of the local police station. That automatically put me through to the next town as the first station is now unmanned.
A young man who identified himself as Stewart, answered the phone. I started to explain the situation which I considered both a danger to traffic and pedestrians.

Stewart inturrupted me with "Let me stop you there, this isn't the number you need to call....."

I interrupted, with "Let me stop you there Stewart, this is the right number to call, I'm not ringing any other. I'm notifying you personally of something that needs attention, it's your responsibility to sort it, you're the police, not me."

There was a silence before Stewart decided he wasn't going to take me on and asked me to repeat all the details, he obviously hadn't been listening closely enough the first time round.

After giving him a full description of the vehicle and it's location and my amazement that not one police officer, car patrol or PCSO had been past, noticed it or done anything about it, like have it towed away, Stewart asked me for the registration number.

"Stewart, what are you like? When you send someone to it, they'll be able to read it."

"Err... Ok thank you, I'll get something done about it."

That was the end of the conversation.

An hour later, I got a phone call from a young lady in another department, who started off by telling me that my call had been logged and wanted to give me the incident report number, I said I didn't care, I just wanted something done about a traffic and pedestrian hazard. So she asked me to give her all the information again.

All Stewart had done was obviously pass her my phone number.
She promised to do something about it.

What sort of police service have we got these days?

Just ring 101 and that will go to the police for your area, it cost 15p per call from moblie and home line no mater how long the call is

A bad one, i reported a vehical with no number plates being driven around, it took 2 years before anything was done and one lady at the police even asked for the regisration number of the vehical even though it didn't have number plates :wallbanging:

And they even want to put up tax's by £2 a month  it won't be too bad if they do things

Call the council. Equally shite system and personality but they at least tend to clear the vehicle

This country is presently experiencing a totally unacceptable level of knife crime.
Several politicians have been bangin' on about it in the media.
A policy of a dramatic increase in the level of "stop and search" of young people of any colour should be immediately instigated.

Of course the first "search" should be to find some naffin' police officers to carry it out. Good luck with that!

Have you not heard? The government don't believe theres a correlation between fewer police and increased knife crime :rolleyespink::wallbanging::doh:

Once again my bank has been messing around with their on-line banking site. They're always "improving it." They've now lost one of my payees.
It's for my credit card company. Each month I check my bill on-line and arrange a payment for the amount spent that month to be paid on the last date I can pay without incurring interest. But the payee link is missing.
So I had to enter all the details manually. The site asked me if I wanted to retain this payee, I clicked on "Yes" and it ignored me.

                        Phoned my bank.

They said they'd sort it out..

I said "If you hadn't messed about with it, you wouldn't have to!"

Can't find the rainbow pets thread, so sorry for bringing the tone down. Delete or move if needs be.

Have had the crappiest of weeks, buried 2 pets within 4 days. Simba, my ginger boi (cat) had a freak accident..got trapped under fence panels that blew over in the storm. Absolutely hate myself for leaving him out, I went to bed early thinking he was in.

2 days later my chicken Jackson Storm had suspected EYP and had to put her down yesterday. To top it off the hamster also escaped (again) yesterday and I can't find him.... feel like bashing my head into the wall till I draw blood.

I plan on moving as soon as I can so not doing a whole lot of gardening, I have had enough of hearing domestics from next door especially when I know and can see that their kids are witnessing it too. (They are off school more than in). The whole family are vile, they have made a habit of whenever bin collections are missed they have a huge bonfire and leave it unattended, there's aerosols exploding at half 10/11 at night..my poor chickens!! :/ what also ******* annoys me is the fact the father has no insurance or tax for his car and drives with 4 kids in the back, including a 6 year old with no car seat.

While burying the chicken yesterday I hear them screaming in front of one of the sons.. I mean I'm trying to grieve and mourn for fs, ideally dont need to hear it. Fed up is an understatement. So yeah no gardening again this year thanks to my t**tish neighbours.

Rant over, sorry for the language.
