Another gift from mother nature. Can anyone ID this?

    I found this little one growing just outside my fence. I have potted him and hopefully he will continue to grow. Can anyone tell me what he is?

    Looks like a sycamore seedling from last year.

        Yes indeed , the 'bull' of the Acer family ; although I knew someone years ago who kept one as a 6' shrub by annual pruning .
        Hmm.....can think of better things!!!

        Oh the dreaded Sycamore! Having had a large one felled last Autumn there are still two in my garden, one at 60ft the other at the moment about 25ft. They self seed everywhere and tend to suffer from black spot as the season progresses. Just giant weeds to me. :doh:
