            I count Phragmipedium as exotic here as it lives outdoors all year, in a large pot that moves to a spot next to the house for the winter as the Cotswold cold, wet and clay soil have always taken them in the past. I've had this one four years now so it's a regime that works (finally!)............

                I got back from Frankfurt just in time to catch the first bloom on my Mackaya bella open.............

                Lots more to come this year. Really pleased with this Southern Africa native which blooms on last years growth. These are the first blooms since 2017.

                        I put my Strelitzia outside at the end of April before we went away as it had an upright flower spike. It has just opened this week.:smile:

                            No, I think it is just the colour is very pale in the evening light, I did see Mandelas Gold in Sydney Botanic.
