I grew one outdoors when we lived at the cottage. As you say, it takes a while, but once established, quite vigorous I found. We got lots of bunches, but the grapes were small. I think I’m right in saying the bunches need to be thinned out?

Thinned out and growth needs to be restricted otherwise you end up with a complete tangle.

To be fair, I did train them along wires, but pretty much let them get on with it.

I love grapes, but not sure where on earth I would put one, so I think I will pass this time round. I will be on the lookout for chilli plants, pepper plants, and maybe even something shrubby or herbacious...... as @shiney knows, it will be more a case of what I can't fit in the car

You'll have to have a chat with Mrs Shiney. She'll give you a good idea of what will suit you. The Shiney Hybrid chillies are already flowering and fruiting. They'll need a little hardening off if you want them outside. We keep them in the greenhouse.

Can you put a couple of the Shiney Hybrids aside for me please Michael? I will probably grow them in the greenhouse alongside tomatoes and cucumbers

                  OK :blue thumb:

That makes ten ordered today - not GC apart from yourself.

As mentioned before, I’ll be bringing along around 15 ‘Sungold’ tomato plants for the sale.

Sorry, I'm going to delete my earlier post about plants.
For reasons beyond my control I dont think I'm going to be able to make it.

Hope you all have a good time, I know you will.
