Our white one is quite sedate and is only just flowering - not very prolific.

We lost thousands of Aquilegia five years ago to Aquilegia Downy Mildew which wiped out our whole collection. We now seem to have some of them coming back from, presumably, seed still left in the ground. There's the occasional one around the garden but some have come up amongst the Allium siculum. Maybe the Alliums have helped :noidea:.

Not a very clear picture as it's too busy with plants
    P1420190.JPG

And the alliums are doing well amongst the late blooming roses. We never get any aphids here so I wonder whether it's the Alliums that keep them away

Our front garden has more colour at this time of year (back garden is Spring and Autumn)

Our Euonymus, we've had it over thirty years, my wife brought it home from Altrincham Market in a 4" pot.

                      P1020844.JPG

Sometimes...very rarely... it produces a flower, never more than one or two each year.

                      P1020845.JPG

(probably because I prune it back each year so tht it doesn't cast a bigger shadow over the rockery).

You never see a "tatty" leaf on it, ever.

@Doghouse Riley Its not a flower on your Euonymus , its quite common on variegated shrubs and its called reversion, its when the shrub reverts back to something in its parentage, they normally go the other way with all green leaves which are far more vigorous because they have more chlorophyll.

Perki has put it better than I would have :blue thumb:

The flowers that form on the Euonymous (yours looks like 'Silver King') are small white/yellow insignificant cluster of heads that are about 1 - 2mm diameter, but the bees love them. They should be forming about now and continue for a couple of months.

Sorbus growing nicely. I can safely say it's now not just a stick in a bucket.

Half of last year Geum Mrs Bradshaw. It's only been in the ground a couple of weeks and it's taken off brilliantly.

I planted this cytisus firefly to complement the geum. I'm hoping that between them they will eventually spread to cover up the ugly sewer cover.
