This Osprey has perched at the top a tree with the wind blowing so hard it was hanging on for dear life itself.

I stil can't get used to seeing birds that are rare or timid at home so common and tame here.
Ibis, Masked Lapwings in play areas, car parks and gardens, even Stone Curlew in the parks, these two were resting.

Apologies for a couple of 'back of camera' pic via phone but I can't upload anything till I get back.
@shiney I have at last seen some fruit bats/flying foxes. This one was flapping it's wings to cool down and the sunlight came through.

Phone pic of a pair of Kookaburras in Kings Park in Perth. They thought we might have food worth stealing but were unlucky.

One of those turned up at my local reserve, about 4 miles away, a couple of weeks ago. I had taken Mrs Scrungee for a quiet midweek visit when it's normally just myself and perhaps just one other around, but it had been seen earlier that day, posted online and loads of local birders were descending on the place, so we left and didn't return until the sightings discontinued.
