Firefox Bookmarks - gone ?

Hi,

When I started Firefox last night it opened with a screen saying that this was v 67.0, yet had no indication an update was about to happen or the usual Restart was needed.

What it did say was stuff about an Account and cross platform stuff that I neither use nor really understood, plus when I went to a normal tab, all my bookmarks had gone.

Seems there is the odd chatter on the Mozilla forums about it creating a new profile but no sure way to get the old one back , etc.

Wonder how the millions of other FF user are going on ?

So if you use Firefox strongly suggest you save your bookmark and even make a screenshot/copy of them, just in case, if they are important to you.

Seems Firefox has had lot of problems lately, think its time to look for another one, apart from Chrome which has privacy issues. ie google hoovering up all your info.

 

@ricky101 Firefox has done this to me recently as well. There is a profile manager and I got mine back through that. You can access this by typing about:profile into the search bar at the top.

 

@NigelJ Many thanks for that info, just pasting in the ' about:profile' brought up several options and I selected the 'about profile' option and then just a case of selecting the old profile and everything was back to normal.
