Don't know about you lot but my partner is not as interested in the garden as me! He thinks all flowers are 'a flower', trees are all 'a tree', thinks you can put a plant with a 12" rootball in 6 inches of soil, hates wasps, bees, ants, and gets hayfever (poor boy!) Still - at least I get to design and plant the garden all to my own tastes! ;)

If the way to a man's heart is via his stomach (and not just the ribcage with a sharp knife ) then grow some veg. My other half will happily water the peas and courgettes while no doubt looking forward to me cooking the finished product into a fine meal for him!

Don't tar us all with the same brush!

My other half (female) knows nothing about plants and has no interest in gardening...apart from sitting in the nice surroundings enjoying a cup of tea or glass of wine

she thinks there are 2 groups of plants...pretties and eaties! :D

      I'm with Steve.

Mrs Skiver has no interest in the garden other than (a) cutting things down and (b) complaining that she doesn't like whatever annuals I have put in that year.

Oh don't get me wrong I'm not complaining! As far as 'im indoors goes is to hang a basket of fuscias up, that's fine by me - I do allow him some small space, lol, I love choosing all the plants and planting them wherever I like [IMG]

I'm the 'gardener' here although Mr Loli loves to see a nice garden he's not as enthusiastic as me but will help out with anything I ask him.To be fair it's a perfect match because the only person I would let anywhere near my plants was my dear old Dad and now he's gone to that big garden in the sky that just leaves me.I wouldn't let any other gardener anywhere near my patch:paladin:..they are welcome to come and tell me what is right or wrong, good idea or bad and have a sit down and cold one but although I adore Monty Don I wouldn't even let him touch anything.:blue thumb:
