Hi,

If you're relying on the BBC weather forecast for tomorrow Logan I hope you're not holding your breath.

Twice today Blackie's tormented me; as I washed the dishes at dinnertime looking out of our kitchen window I thought I could dash out and cut the grass before Blackie spotted me but no; to the second he thwarted my plans hence an enjoyable afternoon in the workshop. Washing the dishes after tea it was a repeat performance but I've had enough of Blackie pulling my strings so the grass is now cut. :rasp:



Our gardens need water because it quit raining for an hour today; I was having dinner at the time.

Bring it on Blackie I don't care because I've got a new toy to play with;

Suffolk Colt Mower.

Thanks Colin, i just take the weather a day at a time. It can change to what the weather men say no matter who it is.

Glad that you're enjoying your new toy. What are you going to do with it when you've got it working?

A surprising improvement over the last few days. Just a few showers and I can see a great yellow ball in between those. 15C/59F

Maybe we'll have an Indian summer?

Thanks Logan. Once the nower restoration is completed I'll try it out up the mountain; it's a power feed but I wonder if I should add traction spikes or chains to the drum. My other two petrol mowers are rotary and push with the usual four wheels; I find the wheels on these to be troublesome whilst cutting the grass edges; a mower with a roller drum I think will be better? I'm enjoying doing the restoration though it takes me back 40 years to my motorcycling days.

It's another wet black hole here; dark with Blackie hovering; the only difference between winter and summer is the temperature of the rain. As usual everything outside is soaking wet; oh hum just another day.

At last a day vaguely looking like summer, 23 C and sunny for the most part, only thin high cloud.
Sky has gone milky in the last hour or so.

 

75f and same as @pete. Clouds are starting to crowd in. Was brilliantly sunny the whole time I was in a dental chair getting my teeth cleaned

 

well i'm back, my last post which was about the lighting sparked some thing in the computer so I haven't been able to get online, so I've bought a laptop top get going again, but it hard work with laptop, give me desktop any day

Cylinder mowers are better, at our other house hubby used a push mower but there's too much lawn here.

 

Has been pleasantly warm if a little cloudy all day in Aylesbury, and the same here in Luton now I am home from work.
