So where is the spider, pic 1 ?

Oh right, I see you inserted it in front of the older pics:biggrin:

That's a friendly spider, probably eating the greenfly.

I've had red spider on most plants, but cant ever remembering them to be a "big" problem on tomatoes, unless maybe right at the very end of the season in a greenhouse, cucumbers they love, and will pretty much kill.
RED spider mite is very small and not easy to see without a lens.

Pity about the spraying, the spiders really are no problem and more likely to do good rather than harm.

Most plants put up with a fair amount of pest damage during their growing season, its part of nature, so best not to panic.:);)

Thanks Pete, That's exactly what I did and ended up cutting some of the leaves lower down that seemed to have loads on back of them. I then sprayed with eco soap but now I'm hoping I haven't done damage to the plants or tomatoes I have growing. Are there any flowers to keep them away.

Well if you had an infestation of the aphids, you did the right thing.
Personally I dont believe in the companion planting ideas but others do, if that is what you are referring to.

Yeah I thought they might keep them away. Just hope I've got them all as have around 12 plants in there. Will check tomorrow again.
