I bought various bulbs in the spring this being one of them and for some reason I have not put a plant label on.My wife really likes them so I would like to get some more so I need to know what they are when to buy the bulbs and when to plant them.I believe they may be a variety of lily but may be wrong.

Yes you certainly can protect from frosts in winter but don’t let them dry out completely keep the soil just moist through the winter though or you will lose the bulbs. start watering in spring and put back outside when frosts are gone end of may’ish

As there is nothing in the greenhouse during the winter I could put the pots in there. One other question the couple of plants I have are quite tall and have tied them to half a cane but I presume during the winter months I will not need to do that.So I were to get some bulbs in the next few would it be ok to plant them.

Well I don’t grow them anymore because of Lily beetle. The sooner they are in soil the more chance you will have of a late bloom this year but will be ready to shoot in the spring next year with all your others.
