I have just picked some potatoes and they all seem to have some small holes in them and I was wondering what would have caused them worms maybe and if so how do you prevent it happening have enclosed some photos but not very clear.I had this problem last year as well and this is the second batch I have picked and the other batch were the same.

    Common Scab, a bacterial infection.

    Potato scabs / RHS Gardening

Have you been watering them during dry weather?

Which variety are you growing? (some are more susceptible to scab)

The second picture looks like wireworm damage.

About two years ago, I was digging out a rogue potato plant near our compost heap and found tubers with those same holes. I knew what had caused them because I found a section of tuber, sliced off by the digging, with a dead wireworm sticking out of it.

Get a lot of wireworm damage now and then, cut off the affected parts, eat the remainder?

I have just peeled one of the potatoes and cut it in half and here is a picture of it.I peeled two other potatoes but by the time I had cut out all the bad pieces there was hardly anything left.Found the following online so does anyone know anything about them ie how do you use them and when.
      Heterorhabditis bacteriophora
