What an eclectic collection Nikolaos.......

 

This week I found my copy of Upstairs At Erics by Yazoo which has been missing since the move. Midnight is not well known but certainly one of their finest moments............


This is quite simply one of the ten greatest records of all time............

Another artist who deserves a wider audience!


The late Jackie Levin deserved a far greater audience than he ever got too..............

 

Great tracks by Yazoo and MA @longk! I'm having a Curtis Mayfield night tonight here, it seems. "Short Eyes" soundtrack is underrated as an album IMO and perhaps "Superfly" is too...

Can't... resist the urge to post here again! Never liked Roxy Music but they're one of my favourite bands nowadays, at least when it comes to more mainstream stuff.









Listening to this before Roxy earlier, a dark and bizarre but varied neofolk album (sleep well, everyone LOL) with a guest appearance from Nick Cave...



Heard this one on that old Specsavers advert, brief but utterly delightful...



Yes, a Eurovision song, but the best Eurovision song ever IMHO...

The Mercy Seat is probably my favourite song of his...



Favourite albums are definitely The Firstborn Is Dead, Tender Prey and Murder Ballads.

Are you familiar with The Birthday Party? Can only take them in small doses nowadays but still love 'em! Some of their mellower stuff was great and the Boys Next Door album is one I still regularly enjoy...

Really great track. Alison Moyet has such a strong voice. I remember buying the album and wondering what "i before e except after c" was all about

 

Had to nip out for a new hose pipe nozzle / sprayer thing this afternoon and took my wifes toy car. Roof down, enjoying the sun and a selection of tracks on a memory stick. This came on.

It gives me goose bumps.

Went to see them and this was on the playlist but they changed it in Leeds as it was the last tour that the merchandise couple were doing and they removed this track. Still an amazing concert, on Guy Garveys birthday as well.

 

It looks that way but I can be quite eclectic. ABBA are a guilty pleasure of mine!

Hard to call really. I love The Mercy Seat, Do You love Me and quite a few others...............

I lived in Oz for a year so it's hard not to be!
