Just exploring my digital music archives today, forgot how much music I love that I haven't listened to for ages...

Autumn's Grey Solace, just beautiful, what a voice...

Their debut album is my favourite.

Just adore this album by Damon Albarn!

Michael Gira project, Swans are another one of my favourite bands, extreme in their early work but just so different, another great album.

That's one of their mellower tracks! :roflol:

Joking apart, I do actually like some black/death metal, especially the more experimental stuff, but only in tiny doses.

Today I listened to these three...

Video of my favourite track from that double album...

The Incredible String Band, sadly the whole album isn't on YouTube.

Penultimate full day in the sun, started off by playing some random tracks.

Nick Caves version of Avalanche played. I'm a huge Leonard Cohen fan but this version is a step too far for me - a slightly disturbing arrangement.

Then decided to choose my own stuff and played Neil Youngs Unplugged album

One of the stand out tracks for me

                        My kind of music.
This is the beautifully crystal clear voice of Glen Campbell’s daughter Ashley singing the iconic Country song Pancho and Lefty.........

@andrews I don't like much Neil Young, but the stuff I like I adore! The "Harvest" album and this performance are what do it for me. The Eagles also did a great BBC "In Concert" performance, so brilliant!

Arvo Part today for me, just so subtle, relaxing and meditative...

I discovered him the other way round. I first heard Freedom and loved that album. I then started listening to a lot of the older stuff like Zuma, Harvest and the likes.

Saw him in Finsbury Park with Booker T - highlight of that one was his cover of all along the watchtower. Then saw him in Glasgow with Crazy Horse. I think this was soon after Harvest Moon was released. Another great performance. Oh … and at Reading with Pearl Jam.

I can see why his music isn't for everyone. My wife hates his music.
