This is not what you'd expect to see here in August. It has been flowering for several weeks !

Hi @Michael Hewett , nice to see you back. You've been quiet lately.

I've noticed that some of the plants which flower in Spring and then again as the daylight hours shorten are a bit early this year, I've got Wallflowers, Aubrieta and Alyssum Saxatile flowering at the moment.

It’s the season we’ve had Michael.....enjoy it and it will still flower as well next spring. I have a dwarf rhododendron flowering again but many spring flowers are appearing,:)

I have changed my mind about this salvia, Embers Wish. It has grown on me, the colour is intensifying as autumn approaches and last year it flowered well into December. I may keep it ....wonder if it sensed my mutterings of “it must go”?

Plumeria - 7 years from seed. It was ex 'Brittany' which is bright pink. Sadly despite the bud colour, this isn't. So far I'm getting a slight coconut perfume from it - maybe that will intensify as more buds open.

This is commercial cotton. I took seeds from a stem of cotton bolls that I bought from a florist. The flower is white but I failed to catch it early enough and it appears to go hectic pink as it dies. I'm hoping to produce my own stems of cotton bolls, but probably will run out of growing time.
