      Nice to see a pic of your bed, the soil looks good, don't think it needs any more manure this year.

      If cats are a problem, find stretching some small mesh black netting over the soil, virtually resting on the soil, deters them from using the area as a toilet.

      Never found any birds or wildlife get caught up in it because its small mesh.

      When planting, just cut a X in the net , dig the hole and pop the plant in and lay the net flaps back down. Once they grow up, you have a job to notice the netting.

        @ricky101 Fortunately cats using the garden as a toilet has never been a problem here but that's a very handy tip to tuck away just in case. Also, fortunately the manure is now very dry so he just needed a good brush off before being allowed back indoors lol. Its about 1 to 2 inches thick so I agree probably enough for now. Ive just started putting some plants back in. If we don't get rain soon I will probably water the manure too as otherwise its going to blow away!
