    Well, here's a big thank you from me Redwing, having received the book you recommended earlier on gardening for wildlife I am now thoroughly enjoying it and planning to incorporate many of the creative suggestions from it into my own garden and allotment. :)

      I just scrape down the sides with a trowel and get as much out as possible, failing that a bread knife cuts though nicely ( don’t tell other half :redface: )
      Then I get my gloved mitts in and get the worst, after that a good soak finishes the job :dbgrtmb:
