It was 42f when Jenny:cat-kittyandsmiley: and I stepped out into the garden this morning although at least the skies were clear. Unfortunately, in a very short period, thin veils of cloud have appeared to cover the skies. So, at the moment, the temperature is a "roasting" 46f, there's no breeze, it's still dry, and the pressure reading is 1010hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

                            Hi,

This is very friendly of you Logan; thanks so much. :doggieshmooze::doggieshmooze::doggieshmooze:

I'm very much still around but don't really know where :old: things have just been so hectic I don't appear to have a spare minute. A few weeks ago Bron bought me an expensive TIG welder and in less than ten minutes use it exploded filling the workshop in dense smoke; it's now back under warranty being repaired and I'm unsure whether to keep it after repair or try another make so I've been doing a lot of research and checking reviews. It was rather disconcerting to be sitting quietly welding when the explosion occurred only feet away behind my back; good job I don't scare easily.

Last Friday we had CCTV Packages - Professionally Installed for the Home - Eyesec here installing top end CCTV who did an absolutely superb installation but with the initial contact; rep here to do the quote; the guy to do the survey then a full day for installation it occupied us. I've been spending time on a welding forum discussing 3 phase 415V electrics which has been time consuming. I've been taking Bron out etc then of course grafting in the gardens; the cars now clean and polished; I'm unsure if retirement is punishment or pleasure because it's tiring me out.

This morning started with the usual problem; last night I tried to renew our TV licence online but payment kept being rejected; this morning payment rejected again so I've had to ignore the official online form and pay by bank transfer; every little job seems to take forever to complete.

Yesterday afternoon I removed all the dead wild flowers from our side garden then dug the garden over by spade; I intended to get cracking first thing again this morning but the TV licence got in the way; I might as well now have a mug of tea and bickie before doing a bit more grafting.

I like spending time on this forum because it's so friendly and reassuring to know I'm cared about enough to be missed so a big hug to you Logan. :yahoo:

                            Kind regards, Colin.

I tend to think in "old school", Upsydaisy, as I get a more of a sense of the "feel" of the warmth or coldness of the day without stepping outside and, of course, we were taught in Imperial measurements at school at that time:old:. For some reason Centigrade doesn't seen definitive enough to give me that feeling of accuracy which, of course, is nonsense, but it is the way it feels to me, so I know that 10c is 50f and 15c is 59f but the latter just seems more specific so it's just a mental state of deciding which you like. Somebody did say that millimeters were more accurate than inches, but I pointed out that you could have thousandths or millionths of an inch as a measurement and they admitted that they hadn't thought of that.:dunno::hate-shocked:. Either, either, don't say neither...........:heehee:
