:nonofinger: longk. I don't wish ill on the slim majority of Brits that voted to leave, but I really can't understand the vicious invective that the whole débacle has provoked, on both sides. Perhaps just human nature at it's worst? Frustration? It's the politicians who created and are perpetuating the whole mess that the anger should be directed against. The Press and media also play a huge part in stirring up division and hatred. Don't suppose anything much will change :dunno:

Sadly it was an expression long before Brexit was even thought of - - and in fairness, the promises may or may not be false (that is yet to be determined) in the same way that many of the 'project fear' promises/predictions have either been proven to be lies or are yet to be determined.

Sorry @noisette47 it wasn't the politicians who created this mess. It was Gina Miller, they've just taken it to the extreme.

Gina Miller is the one who involved the courts in the whole process and basically made brexit a never ending saga by getting the law changed so that Parliament will have the final say on the outcome.
Which is a bit like saying brexit is a definite maybe.

Basically @noisette47 when the Governmment started the Brexit process by invoking article 50 G, Miller she said that it wasn't the Governments job to do that and took them to court. That allowed everyone in Parliament ( including the speaker who is supposed to remain I.partial ) to be able to stick their oar in.
More than likely if she hadn't have done this we would probably have been out by now ( in my opinion ).

PS..... she tried again to take the Government to court over prorogation but had her case thrown out.

She also is the public figure of a very well funded ant-brexit organisation, which stays in the shadows and thereby remains out of the spotlight of the media. So Gina Miller is not just a private individual on a campaign to stop BREXIT and proroguing Parliament but is a highly intelligent Business Lady who could not by herself afford to take the Government to court but. is privately funded by wealthy businesses.

And was immediately given the right to appeal. Clearly BJ has shut down parliament for his own political reasons, to stop discussion of Brexit by parliament . It’s despicable.

I believe she is very wealthy and gives her money for causes she believes in, including these legal costs. I am glad she’s doing this.

Breaking news right now is that former PM John Major is legally challenging BJ over prorogation of parliament. Conservatives in meltdown.

I had to look it up. Seems if you are a Brexiter on here you are allowed to use such terminology.
