Dull as ditchwater all day and some heavy showers. Think the garden's had enough now thank you very much!

        Hi,

Blackie was talking to me again this morning before I got out of bed with his usual message on the roof saying I hope you enjoy this. :rasp:

Another wet dismal miserable doom and gloom black hole but it could be worse I could be wishing for rain as many of you have been doing.

I'm happy this morning because I won't be digging more laurel stumps out today; if this rain persists I'm sure the stumps will float out.

        Kind regards, Colin.

We had a fairly hefty 9.6mm of rain during the night but it's dry now and we have partly cloudy skies, the breeze varying and coming from the South and SouthEast, the temperature starting at 54f early this morning but is now 60f, and the pressure reading is 979.9hpa.
I'm putting together a large desk for the computer so that will cause chaos as I build it so I will ignoring the weather and spending more time in the House cursing and applying first aid to myself:dunno::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Still having the windows replaced so it's good that it's not raining heavily, now sunny intervals.

Looking like a repeat of yesterday, soggy morning sunny afternoon.
Reasonably warm, hit 21C yesterday and expecting similar this after noon.

                    Hi,

15 minutes ago I collected the hoe from the hut; as I reached our front garden Blackie was waiting for me and gave me a good soaking; back indoors drying out the sun is now shining.

                    Kind regards, Colin.

                        Hi,

How kind of you ARMANDII; it looks just the job and the weighted boots will ensure Gale has problems blowing me off the valley side.:yahoo:

I did look at this site to see if they had something similar?

                        https://www.anchorsupplies.com/clothing.html

A few years ago I bought an ex-police riot helmet from them to wear whilst roughing "out of balance" woodturning blanks. I really do need to buy some good waterproof clothing then learn how to walk on air because I leave muddy trails behind me on the patio and pathways. I've tried gardening in the wet wearing wellies and my big "site" coat but although the coat keeps Blackie out then I get wet with sweat; oh hum what fun I do have. In spite of all the rain I've done a great deal of gardening this year and the hard work has been well worth it; once the growing season is over perhaps I can head into the workshop where things too go wrong; a couple of months ago Bron kindly bought me an expensive TIG welder; it took less that ten minutes for the welder to explode in a dense cloud of smoke; the welder is back for repair under warranty; I always do things the hard way.

I think I've been born too early because perhaps in another 50 years I could generate a force field over our site to keep bad weather and unwanted visitors out.

The sun is shining so I'm considering dashing out with the hoe.

                        Kind regards, Colin.
